Imagine the violation of having your house broken into. Now imagine finding the burglars having sex on your couch. For a woman in Tennessee, there was nothing left to her imagination.
After being away for a few days, Barnes returned to her house in south Memphis that had been ransacked, but to her surprise, the offenders were still in her house – making sexytime.
"It's horrible in there," homeowner Jamie Barnes told WREG3 Memphis. "It's absolutely horrible in there. It's like they just had a big old nasty party."
"Walk in and they're having sex on my couch," Barnes added. "I pick up my broom, I wanted to hit that man so bad."
Barnes continued recounting her ordeal and said the man kept yelling “I don’t know nothing” over and over while the woman grabbed one of Barnes’ dresses.
"I snatched it from her. ‘What are you trying to do?’" Barnes said.
When the man took off running, Barnes said she followed him until he entered an alley. The woman, Tonka Barnes, was arrested for aggravated burglary. Metro is awaiting reply from Memphis Police to check if the women are related.
Barnes said the couple “ransacked” her house and stole jewelry, appliances and clothing.
Her neighbor, Christian Jones, told WREG3 that he saw the intruders carrying bins of clothing out of the house and trying to sell jewelry they had taken from the home.
"Crazy stuff," Jones said. "You never think something like that would happen. They're getting too bold."
Barnes, who did not have renters’ insurance, has set up a GoFundMe.
"I don't feel comfortable at this house, so in my eyes, I'm homeless," she told WREG, that reported Barnes already had plans to move, but she is now hoping to mover sooner than later.
