Venture capitalist Christopher Burch, the ex-husband of fashion designer Tory Burch, has his Southampton neighbors in a fury with his plan to put up a 10-by-16 high-definition screen television in his backyard.
Burch says he intends to display images of famous works of art, but his neighbors are concerned that the drive-in-sized boob tube will turn the tony neighborhood into one perpetual Super Bowl party. The megalarge screen will be able to show movies, TV and the Internet.
Burch is waiting for approval from the zoning board before the giant television is erected on his Meadow Lane estate.
