It’s that time of year again and the 2019 Miss America competition will take place but this year, there are some changes to the show.
The Miss America competition is almost a century-old and while some things will remain the same, there will be some changes made beginning this year. For starters, competitions will no-longer call itself a pageant, as it has for the past 97 years. In addition, there will no longer be a swimsuit competition. According to a press release, Miss America contestants will “participate in a live interactive session with the judges” and will talk about their life accomplishments, goals and talents to show they deserve to be crowned Miss America 2019.
We’re looking forward to seeing who will be named Miss America this year.
