A family living in an Arizona border town woke up earlier this month to find $10,000 worth of pot sitting in their carport.

Police believe the narcotics, which weighed approximately 26 pounds, were mistakenly dropped from a drug smuggler’s ultralight aircraft before crashing through the Nogales, Arizona carport on Sept. 8, the Associated Press reported.

“It’s all right on top of our dog’s house,” Maya Donnelly, the homeowner said, according to the AP. “It just made a perfectly round hole through our carport.”

Police said the drugs could have also been transported in a pilotless drone, but no matter where the drugs came from, the AP reported, Donnelly believes it’s unlikely that someone will come searching for them.

The marijuana is now in the custody of authorities, who have boosted patrols around the Donnelly’s neighborhood for the moment.

But, according to the AP, the family will have to shell out an estimated $500 in repairs, and pay for a new home for their German Shepherd, Hulk.

The joke among loved ones, however, has been that instead of calling cops, the family could have kept the money to help with the carport repairs and more.

“That’s what everybody says: ‘Why did you call 911?'” Donnelly said, according to the AP. “But how can you have a clear conscience, right? We could have made lots of home repairs with that.”
