3 years for impaired driving death of husband

WOODSTOCK, N.B. – A 35-year-old New Brunswick woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for impaired driving causing the death of her husband.

In October, Jennifer Lynn Anderson was found guilty of killing Corey Ralph Anderson after a seven-day jury trial.

The couple were on their way home from a nightclub in Woodstock on Oct. 5, 2008, when the accident occurred.

She was behind the wheel of an SUV when she lost control and it overturned, pinning and killing the man.

In his sentencing today, Judge Terrence Morrison of the Court of Queen’s Bench also banned Anderson from driving for four years.
