4 questions for Nikka Graff Lanzarone

Nikka Graff Lanzarone made her Broadway debut earlier this year alongside such industry heavyweights as Patti LuPone and Brian Stokes Mitchell. But that’s OK. The up-and-coming starlet is no stranger to the Big Name — her parents are stage-and-screen veterans, and she was nurtured on a culture of L.A. elbow-rubbing. We caught up with the actress to put her in the hot seat with our questions for newbies to fame.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Show up and do the work. Anything else is extra.

Favorite dish to cook for yourself when you’re not in a rush?

I wish I could cook, but sadly, I did not get the cooking gene. I make a lot of plain pasta, but the real cooking is left to my boyfriend.

Did you have posters of famous people on your wall growing up? If so, who?

I didn’t have so many posters, but I did systematically tile my bedroom wall in free postcards from diners when I was in high school. It was an awkward labor of love.

If you had to pick one fast-food chain to eat at for the rest of your life, which one would it be?

In-N-Out Burger, no question. I’m from L.A., after all!
