This carrier’s $30 unlimited plan for 1 GB of LTE data comes with no annual contract, includes taxes and fees, 4G LTE T-Mobile Network and mobile hotspot, Wi-Fi calling, voicemail and visual voicemail, plus caller ID, call waiting and three-way calling. Not enough byte? You can get 3 GB for $40, 8 GB for $50 and unlimited for $60.

Virgin Mobile

Virgin has a $35 plan that includes unlimited 5 GB of data, talk, text and streaming music with 4G LTE, or 10 GB for $10 more. You can also add 1 GB more of data for $5 or 2 GB for $10.

Cricket Wireless

Cricket offers 3 GB of 4G LTE speed for $40, which includes unlimited nationwide talk and text, video and photo messages. For $50, users can get 8 GB and the addition of unlimited international texting, and unlimited talk and text to and from Mexico and Canada. For just $10 more, they can get all that, plus up to 12 GB. There’s also a $5 discount if you sign up for autopay.

US Mobile

US Mobile offers free SIM cards to students at partner universities that include Yale, Harvard, Northwestern and Brown. From there, students can custom-build a plan for talk, text and data that ranges from $2 for 100 texts and 100 MB of data and $3 for 100 minutes to 5,000 minutes for $15, unlimited texting for $7 and $35 for 6 GB of data.

Boost Mobile

Boost has an unlimited 2 GB data, talk and text plan for $30 if enrolled in auto pay, or $35 if not. For $20 more, users can get unlimited GBs of data, talk and text.
