The City of Ottawa, along with the federal and provincial governments, will announce on Friday $6.7 million in funding for two construction-ready projects that will add 61 affordable housing units, a spokeswoman for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation said Thursday.
The funding is a part of a $1.2-billion joint investment under the amended Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Agreement, said Nicole Burgers.
The $6.7 million will fund two buildings — one through the Shepherds of Good Hope and the other through the City of Ottawa — and will provide 61 units of affordable housing for low-income seniors, families and persons with disabilities.
