You didn’t really expect any real answers about the Randy Moss trade from Bill Belichick, did you?
The Patriots coach held a news conference focused on the deal Thursday. He didn’t shed much light.
“It was done in the best interest of the football team,”?he said. “And it’s a combination of things. That’s what we feel like is best.”
Belichick was adamant to point out that Moss, 33, caused no discipline problems while with the Pats.
“I would say this,” Belichick said. “There was never any incident or discipline problem with Randy. There never has been one with me in four years.”
Moss practiced with the Vikings Thursday, just a day after being sent to Minnesota in exchange for a third-round draft pick. He’ll play Monday night.
