Brookline police warned residents on Friday of an “aggressive” coyote in the area.
The coyote charged at an officer around 11:30 a.m. Friday near Washington and Park streets, officials said.
It was then spotted at Washington and Greenough streets just before 2 p.m.
Officers cautioned students leaving school to travel in groups and not to approach the animal, and advised anyone who sees it to call 911.
Massachusetts Environmental Police are currently responding to the incident.
