Alec Baldwin compared Dylan Farrow to a fictional sexual assault victim

Alec Baldwin A Literal Boss Baby

Say what you will about Alec Baldwin — a man for which I am grateful, in the most tiniest of ways, for bringing Jack Donaghy to “30 Rock” — but the man sure doesn’t know when to shut his damn trap.

His latest offense? Comparing Dylan Farrow to a fictional character who lied about her rape in “To Kill a Mockingbird,” a novel that was released in 1960. Classy!

The 59-year-old, who has been an ardent supporter of Woody Allen, took to Twitter to defend Allen again. Because minding his own business is just not a thing Baldwin is prone to.

“1 of the most effective things Dylan Farrow has in her arsenal is the ‘persistence of emotion,’” he wrote. “Like Mayella in TKAM, her tears/exhortations r meant 2 shame u in2 belief in her story. But I need more than that before I destroy some1, regardless of their fame. I need a lot more.”

But wait, there’s more! “To say that @RealDylanFarrow is telling the truth is to say that @MosesFarrow is lying. Which of Mia’s kids got the honesty gene and which did not?”

A couple things to note here, Baldy Win. What makes you believe one person’s story over another? You need more than an accusation from a victim, but not more than a denial from the accused? Why do you believe Woody and Moses over Dylan? Is it because they’re men?

More importantly, as Vulture points out, Baldwin essentially tried to make a point about how Dylan Farrow wasn’t sexually abused by her father by comparing her to a literary character that was continually sexually abused by her father. (In the novel, Mayella is roped into an incestuous relationship with her dad, who is an abusive alcoholic.)

As always, Baldwin doth protest too much. Either that, or details are just far too inconvenient for him.

More importantly? Boo Radley and his crew did not asked to be dragged into this, man.
