Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are officially divorced following her withdrawal of the domestic violence petition she filed in late May. The actress will receive a reported settlement of $7 million — a million less than she requested — including attorney fees, according to TMZ’s sources. The “Rum Diary” co-stars nee lovers released a joined statement regarding the divorce that says, “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love… Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains.”

TMZ (and everyone else who can read) was quick to point out the line that states no “false accusations for financial gains” were made by either party (read: her), meaning Heard’s domestic abuse claims against Depp very well sound kind-of-sort-of-OK-probably-definitely valid.

The statement was released following a series of bizarre events — including recently released footage of Depp using his wounded finger tip and blue paint to write “Billy Bob” and “Easy Amber” on a mirror in 2015. Billy Bob Thornton denies having cheated with Heard, calling the accusation “completely false.”
