One person was killed and another uninjured after being shot at in car in Abbotsford yesterday. According to unconfirmed media reports, the victim was a woman who may have been the unintended target.
Const. Ian Macdonald said one victim was pronounced dead on the scene while the other individual was “unscathed, but shaken.”
Police received a call just after 3 a.m. from a resident on Polar Avenue saying they had heard multiple gunshots followed by the sound of a vehicle fleeing the area.
No one has been arrested but MacDonald said police have “a lot of investigative leads.”
Investigators are not releasing any information about the identity of the victims but say both are known to police.
Yesterday’s was the second killing in Abbotsford in a week. Amarjit Kaur Khosa, 34, was found murdered in a home on July 21.
