Arnold Schwarzenegger terminates ties with ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

Arnold Schwarzenegger won’t be back on “The New Celebrity Apprentice,” according to reports.

“I loved every second of working with NBC and Mark Burnett. Everyone —from the celebrities to the crew to the marketing department —was a straight 10, and I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn’t have this baggage,” Schwarzenegger told CNN.

The baggage “The Terminator” is referring to is President Donald J. Trump.

Trump, the former host of “Celebrity Apprentice” and current executive producer, mocked Schwarzenegger for the rebranded show’s low ratings —a drop of about 44 percent from previous seasons, according to AV Club.

“It’s not about the show,” the former California governor said, Empire reported, “because everyone I ran into came up to me and said ‘I love the show… but I turned it off because as soon as I read Trump’s name I’m outta there!'”

“NBC did everything they could to promote the show and [producer] Mark Burnett did a fantastic job. No one really knew that this was going to happen and I think that everyone was caught off guard.”

“When people found out that Trump was still involved as executive producer and was still receiving money from the show, then half the people [started] boycotting it.”

Six of the 12 corporate sponsors of the show have pulled out, Fox News reported.

Shannon Coulter, an organizer of #GrabYourWallet, a campaign promoting a boycott of the show, told The Wrap, “I think it’s pretty clear at this point that the Trump brand name is toxic.”

The internet is eagerly awaiting @realDonaldTrump‘s next tweet.
