Police and the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) are on scene in Bridgeland where a car has been found spattered with blood.
Reports indicate a man was shot but both agencies are remaining tight-lipped on any details while they continue to piece together details in an area taped off near Memorial Drive and Edmonton Trail NE.
Witnesses say they heard a commotion around 2 a.m. and saw police cars boxing in a car.
ASIRT is typically called in for investigations when law enforcement personnel are involved in the incident.
