The news these days: If it’s not some idiot celebrity/public figure running his mouth about the evils of gay people/black people/people who are not like them, it’s some idiot college student dressing up in blackface/as a marathon bombing victim/something incredibly inappropriate and offensive and posting it to the Internet.

Today in idiot news, we present this ASU fraternity, who threw a “blackout” party to “celebrate” Martin Luther King Jr. Day. What’s a blackout party, you ask? It’s when fratty bros and their guests dress up as incredibly offensive and inappropriate stereotypes of black people — here in baggy pants, basketball jerseys, gold chains and, worst of all, watermelons used as cups. Hahaha, black people are funny.

These idiot college kids didn’t go full blackface, which might be the only thing saving them from complete destruction at the iron fists of the Internet, but it’s still pretty bad. What’s most confounding to us, however, is that people continue to post photographic evidence of their terrible behavior to social media. Gawker will find it. Then everyone will see it. Then the people of Reddit will make it their business to destroy you. That is an Internet fact. ku-xlarge-2

The fraternity has since been suspended. A spokesperson for ASU said,”ASU has suspended chapter operations, can and will take additional action against the individuals involved, and is meeting with the national TKE organization today to take further action.”

Frats are the worst.
