ATV driver bails before Commuter Train hits him

A train headed to Boston’s North Station hit an ATV on the tracks, causing delays to the train schedule Friday.

According to reports, no one was injured when the driver of the ATV allegedly bailed from his vehicle before the commuter train slammed into it in Gloucester.

The 116 Train heading from Rockport to Boston collided with the off-street vehicle under the Route 128 bridge.

Officials said there were no injuries reported. It is not clear why the ATV was so close to the train tracks, according to reports.

Gloucester Police continue to investigate the incident.
