Authorities seek public’s help identifying woman’s remains

The Middlesex District Attorney’s office is asking for the public’s help to identify a woman whose remains were found at an industrial site in Everett earlier this month.

Workers made the discovery at a National Grid site on Rover Street just after 11 a.m. on July 7. Authorities say the death is considered suspicious, based on the circumstances surrounding the location and condition of the remains.

Following an analysis by a forensic anthropologist, detectives now believe the remains were deceased for a period of anywhere from one to five years before they were discovered.

Other evidence collected in the analysis indicates the victim was a woman between 26 and 52 years of age, most likely white, with an estimated height of anywhere from 5 feet, 1 inch to 5 feet, 9 inches, investigators said.

There were also indications of past medical injuries, including a broken lower leg, a broken nose and restructuring, along with some tooth loss and reconstruction.

The victim was also wearing Sporto Boots, ankle height, Daria style, size 10m; a long-sleeved white tee shirt; and Cocoa vintage, black fleecy sweat pants, size small, according to authorities.
