Barbara Walter planning View spinoff?

Barbara Walters is reportedly planning a new men-friendly spin-off of the View, sources tell the New York Daily News.

The show, with both male and female co-hosts, wouldn’t launch until next year, when Oprah Winfrey’s departure frees some space in the afternoon schedule.

“They don’t want to do anything that will compete with The View,” the source says. Bryant Gumbal is reportedly at the top of Walters’ list for male co-hosts.
