It was like a Triple-A baseball player winning the World Series MVP award.
But don’t expect Trevor Bayne, the 20-year-old winner of Sunday’s Daytona 500, to try to complete his season with a Sprint Cup crown.
Bayne told reporters yesterday he still plans to focus most of his attention on the second-fiddle Nationwide Series.
Bayne is the youngest winner ever at the Great American Race. He took a wild 500 on Sunday, winning a race that featured a record 74 lead changes among 22 drivers and 16 caution flags.
