Bedford man wanted for kidnapping Concord man at knifepoint

The Concord and Bedford Police Departments are looking for a Bedford man wanted for an armed home invasion, kidnapping and armed assault.

Chief Joseph O’Connor reported that the Concord Police Department has an active arrest warrant out for Julian Field, 24, after a resident reported a break-in and abduction at about 3:45 a.m. on Monday.

Field was reported missing, and allegedly broke into a Concord home, held the resident at knifepoint and forced him to drive to locations in Western Massachusetts and Connecticut.

According to reports, Field broke into a man’s home in Concord, pulled a knife and demanded transportation out of town. The victim drove Field to New Haven, Connecticut, then reported the incident at about 3:45 a.m. on Monday once he returned to Concord. The victim reported that he was not injured during the break-in or the drive.

Concord Police said that Field fled after Bedford Police sought him for a disturbance reported on Sunday on Concord Road. Bedford Police reported that they were looking for a white male, 5-foot-9, 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes on Sunday afternoon matching Field’s description.

Bedford Police also reported that Field was wearing a green winter coat with a fur lined hood, white symbols on the sleeves, black jeans, and a dark blue baseball hat. Officials believe that Field is in Connecticut or New York City.

While police recovered the knife used to threaten the victim from the victim’s car, they believe that Field is armed and dangerous. Field is wanted for armed home invasion, kidnapping, armed assault on a person over the age of 60, armed assault in a dwelling, burglary, armed assault on occupants. Concord Police Detectives applied for, and received, the arrest warrant out of Concord District Court on Monday afternoon.

Officials released photos of Field from surveillance footage from Union Station in Hartford, CT. This is his last known location.
