A glittering Vegas-style drag show featuring 20 of Vancouver’s top female impersonators invades Richmond later this month.
The annual Fit For A Queen runs June 19 at the River Rock Theatre.
“It’s just a jolly good time,” said Joan-E, who hosts the annual event and has been involved since its inception almost a decade ago. “The audience tends to laugh a lot.”
Joan-E, who was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for fundraising efforts, said the event is good for people who want to see drag, but don’t want to see it in a nightclub.
Proceeds from the benefit go to the Shooting Stars Foundation.
