If the Republican party is serious about looking for a family values candidate, they could do worse than to nominate Beyonce for President. Never has anyone enforced family bonds more fiercely or publicly than she and her family have in the last few days.
In the wake of the Jay Z/Solange elevator scandal, Beyonce and Jay Z headed to New Orleans this weekend, where Solange lives. The trio dined together at Cafe Amelie, according to Page Six. Beyonce posted the above photo on her Instagram yesterday. “New Orleans May17th 2014,” Beyonce captions the photo, in much the same way that a kidnapper includes the day’s newspaper in the ransom photo as proof that the victim is still alive.
Indeed, Solange looks slightly less than thrilled to be in the photo. However, I feel like any other celebrity family would have blamed Solange for this whole thing and packed her off to rehab by now, so I think she should probably count her blessings. I’m sure she knows that, though, since she’s not kicking the photographer.
