Made-for-Instagram milkshakes and crowd-pleasing burgers arrive on 55th Street at Black Tap Midtown, opening Nov. 22. The lively diner-style space, with cookie-eating skulls and other sweet-themed murals, has a full liquor bar plus over 20 beers on tap, Mexican sodas and aguas frescas. Burgers can also be made into salads, and you shouldn’t skip either the crispy thick-cut fries or spicy Korean BBQ Wings to save room for those towering shakes. And don’t worry, the pint-size milkshakes in our gallery were just scaled down for preview night — yours will come in the usual big-as-your-head portion. Black Tap Midtown is located next to The Blakely at 136 W. 55th St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues. Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight daily.
