Blue Line delays due to derailed train at Bowdoin Station

The MBTA is urging riders to allow extra time on Friday morning due to a disabled train at Bowdoin Station causing delays on the Blue Line.

No passengers were on board the train when it derailed around 6 a.m., CBS Boston reported. The cause of the derailment remains unclear.

The MBTA initially reported severe delays due to the incident, but that was later revised to moderate delays as commuters began the morning rush hour, Fox 25 added.

Riders have been advised to allow extra time for their commutes, according to WCVB.
