During dinner at the Fountain at the Four Seasons Hotel, chef William DiStefano said he’ll be sorry to see his four-star restaurant close Dec. 27 in anticipation of the hotel’s 2015 move to the planned 59-story Comcast Innovation and Technology Center at 18th and Arch. DiStefano believes he’ll know his fate, and the Fountain’s, very soon. Former Fountain chefs Jean-Marie Lacroix and Martin Hamann, of Brulee Catering and the Union League, respectively, recently paid a goodbye visit to their old stomping grounds.

Internationally known Philly DJ King Britt goes the live band route when he brings his Fhloston Paradigm space rock rrio to Johnny Brenda’s on Dec 15.

Angelo Lutz, owner of Kitchen Consigliere Cafe in Collingswood, New Jersey, held a party Sunday during his appearance on the Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen.” Reporter George Anastasia, who has covered the mafia for years, including writing about Lutz’s 2001 mob trial and sentencing, joined the celebration. Lutz didn’t win the televised food competition, but he did reveal he and Anastasia penned a cookbook, “The Last Meal,” with recipes and tales of famous mob dinners.

When the U.S. Postal Service issued stamps of basketball legend/one-time 76er Wilt Chamberlain, fellow Sixers greats Julius Erving and Wali Jones joined team owner Josh Harris in a dedication ceremony at the Wells Fargo Center. Also in attendance were Eagles Riley Cooper and Connor Barwin, and actor Michael B. Jordan, who, beginning in January, will spend more time in Philly filming the title role in “Creed,” the sequel to “Rocky.”
