Boom boom pow! Peas rock Halifax

Halifax Rocks 2010 is in the books — and by most accounts, it was a successful show.

An estimated 25,000 people came out to the Halifax Common to see the Black Eyed Peas on Saturday night, with Weezer and Enfield’s Classified amongst the group of seven opening acts.

After the show, the Black Eyed Peas hosted an after-party at the Palace Nightclub.

On Friday night, several members of Weezer took in a performance of Shakespeare by the Sea at Point Pleasant Park.

Police called the concert uneventful, apart from having to shut down the four intersections around the Common when the crowd left in unison around 10:40 p.m.
