Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection to a Monday afternoon car chase that led officers through Milton in pursuit of a stolen car.

Rayniel Golay, 25, was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday in Quincy District Court on charges including receiving a stolen motor vehicle and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for hitting two police cruisers as he allegedly fled from authorities, the Patriot Ledger reported.

Officials said the suspect took off when they attempted to pull him over, subsequently ramming two police vehicles, WHDH stated.

Milton Deputy Chief John King said the Hyundai Sonata that Golay was driving had been reported stolen, the Patriot Ledger said, adding that no officers were injured when the car struck the two police cruisers.

The suspect was eventually taken into custody on the Blue Hills Parkway, WHDH added.
