Boston issues more parking restrictions for move-in madness

Preparing for the move-in madness that hits the Hub at this time of the year, city officials today announced parking restrictions in certain neighborhoods.

“Due to student move-in activity at Boston’s many colleges and universities, temporary traffic and parking restrictions will be in place at multiple locations over the next few days,” the city said in its alert. “Every effort is being made by both school administrators and the City to ensure that the job is accomplished quickly and efficiently with the least amount of inconvenience to local residents and motorists as possible.”

The complete list of restrictions can be found here.

The no parking restrictions are already in place along many roadways in the Fenway neighborhood.

No stopping restrictions start around Boston University and in Allston and Brighton on Thursday.

On Mission Hill, parking restrictions will be in place on Saturday, but cars with a current Mission Hill resident sticker will be exempt from the order.
