If you’re going to pick a quarterback in the first round you have to be all in on the guy. Franchises that have been burned by early QB picks in years past are often scared off at making the same mistake twice (or three or four times) … so you have to be 100 percent sure. If things hold pat at the top of the draft, with Cleveland and San Francisco both in desperate need of a young quarterback to build around, it will be fascinating to see if both teams pull the trigger on a signal-caller.
