Police are investigating“multiple stabbings” that left three people dead, including the suspect who was later shot by an off-duty police officer just after 7 p.m. in a Taunton, Massachusetts mall. The attacks took place at both the Silver City Galleria mall as well as a home on nearby Myricks Street Tuesday night.
The suspect apparently crashed a car into a storefront at the mall before attacking two people inside, according to an advisory from the Massachusetts State Police.Two others were stabbed inside of a home on Myricks Street before the mall attacks.

“There is no continuing threat to the public,” police said in a statement.
The suspect’s motivation remains under investigaiton, but police said they were not aware of any connection to terrorism.

Law enforcement sources told WHDH that the suspect crashed a stolen car into a Macy’s storefront then went to the Bertucci’s at the mall, where he stabbed a waitress and customer. Fox 25 spoke to this neighbor, who said her son saw the commotion on Myricks Street:
