A Hello Kitty Cafe truck is coming to Boston and we just died of happiness

A pink van full of Hello Kitty goods and tasty treats is heading to Boston for a one-day stop at Assembly Row on Aug. 20. The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck, an obvious product of Sanrio, will bring pink bow-bedecked doughnuts, sweets with Hello Kitty’s sugar-embossed silhouette and other non-edible swag so cute that you’ll probably forget dumping out your wallet on the counter and telling them to take whatever they want.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is currently on a nationwide tour, bringing Sanrio madness to your Instagram feed from the comfort of your hometown. The not-cat-actually-a-girl-character celebrated her 40th anniversary in 2014, with plenty of pizzazz and parties, including a retrospective of Hello Kitty merch at L.A.’s Japanese American National Museum. She’s in Somerville, but for a limited time. But in our hearts? Always.
