Boston Police bust two in ‘brazen’ broad daylight stabbing on the Common

Boston Police arrested two people in connection to a “brazen” broad daylight stabbing in the Boston Common in the beginning of October.

Members of the City-Wide Bicycle Unit were on patrol in the area of Mass Ave. and Melnea Cass Boulevard at about 2:30 p.m. on Thursday when they spotted the two people thought to be connected with the stabbing that left a victim in critical condition.

Robert Zagarella, 31, of Boston, was charged with assault with intent to murder.

Meggan Durant, 28, of Roslindale, was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.

The attack took place at about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, which left a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to Mass General Hospital with serious injuries.
