Boston Police have yet to make any arrests after a “suspicious looking” masked man pointed a gun at an officer in Dorchester, prompting the officer to fire at the man.

Boston Police Officer James Kenneally would not say whether they were still searching for the suspect, or whether they had any good leads, but would only say “no arrests have been made in the incident.”

According to Keneally, the officer approached the man around 11 p.m. Sunday outside the Lee Elementary School. At that point, the man attempted to run away, but stopped and pointed a gun at the officer.

The officer fired off an undisclosed amount of shots, but police don’t believe the man was hit. His gun was recovered nearby.
