A 67-year-old Lincoln woman has died from injuries sustained in a farm accident Sunday.

Details were scarce, but the Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said that Lenore Travis died after an incident on a swath of land off North Great Road just after 3:30 p.m.

Lincoln Police and State Police are investigating the incident.

“The woman died in a tragic incident,” said Ryan in a statement. “Her husband and children have suffered a tragic loss. While this remains an active investigation, early indications are that this was an accident.”

Lincoln Police Chief Kevin Kennedy added in a statement, “The entire community of Lincoln has the Travis family in their thoughts. This appears to have been a horrible accident which has left the town stunned and in mourning.”
