Red Sox slugger David Ortiz will retire at the end of the upcoming 2016 season, according to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.
Ortiz will turn 40-years-old tomorrow.
“Big Papi” has been with the Red Sox since the 2003 season and has gained a reputation as one of the more clutch hitters in MLB history since that time. He has powered the Sox to three World Series titles in the past 12 years.
