Is this week THE week?

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is taking his sweet time in determining Tom Brady’s fate after the quarterback and approximately 40 other people met at NFL headquarters in New York 27 days ago.

There were rumblings that Goodell would rule on Brady’s appeal of his four-game suspension last week, but nothing came of those rumors. The Patriots are starting to become frustrated with how long the process is taking as their training camp begins in 10 days.

“I think [Brady] should just get the four games wiped out baby! Roger, just wipe out those four games and make this easy,” Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski told CBS last week. “Put this in the past; it’s pretty annoying that you keep holding it up.”

Patriots receiver Julian Edelman told reporters this past weekend that the entire Deflategate saga has Brady ready to take on the world.

“He’s fired up,” Edelman said of his quarterback. “You don’t want a mad Tom Brady, and he’s a little ticked off.”

ABC News reported last week that the NFLPA will challenge the NFL in court if Brady’s suspension is not entirely wiped out.
