Former Lakeville firefighter Thomas Dunlevy, 51, was in Wareham District Court on Monday where he was charged with raping an underage co-worker, WHDH reported.
Dunlevy, a 20-year veteran of the department, reportedly resigned earlier this month during an investigation into allegations of supplying an underage man with alcohol and raping him. The underage man was a younger subordinate of Dunlevy’s.
"I was afraid. He was my supervisor. He was my lieutenant. And I looked up to him as a father," the unidentified victim told WCVB about the incident in which Dunlevy allegedly assaulted him at a campground when he was 20 years old.
"I was underage. I was drunk. I was afraid of him. He was my supervisor," he said. "I didn't know what was going to happen so I just froze up. I couldn't move. I just laid there.”
Dunlevy also allegedly tried to threatened the victim to stay quiet for which he faces an intimidation of a witness charge.
WHDH reported that Dunlevy is being held on $25,000 cash bail.
