The family of a missing man from Harvard, Massachusetts, is asking for the public’s help in finding him, WCVB reported.
Zachary Marr, 22, was celebrating his birthday in Boston the night he went missing, and security footage shows him leaving Boston’s Bell in Hand Tavern around 1:45 a.m.
“Friends said he walked out of the bar without a coat on to have a smoke,"WHDH reported. “He texted friends that he tried to get back in but he was not allowed because it was closing time. By the time his friends grabbed his coat and went outside, he was gone.”
However, the Bell in Hand Tavern released a statement saying that their footage showed that Marr never tried to reenter the bar:
“Our thoughts & prayers go out to Zachary's family and friends. We have provided video to his family and the police and it showed Zachary leaving the Bell in Hand at 1:20 a.m. and the video clearly shows that Zachary did not try to re-enter the Bell in Hand. It does, however, show several other customers leaving and re-entering. He would not have been denied access. Other video has shown he was last seen in front of the garage heading towards surface artery. We hope that he is found soon and we are cooperating fully with police and the family to help in any way we can.”
According to Marr’s family, the young man was not without his struggles, but he had recently been promoted at work and was in school.
“So many people have been gracious in sharing his story,” Jessica Fortier-Gross, a cousin of Marr, told WCVB. “We miss him. We just want him home.”
