FBI investigating remains found in Georgetown home

Bones were found in the basement a month after the homeowner died.

Bones found in the basement of a Georgetown home have spurred a federal investigation, WCVB reports.


The FBI has been on-site since Friday, but has been tight-lipped about information. It is not known if the bones are human.


The home was most recentlyowned byPeter Haskell, who died last month at the age of 85.


The Essex County District Attorney’s Office is leading the investigation, but has notdiscussed what investigators are seeking. Georgetown is about 30 miles north of Boston.
