Sasha Obama is starting a temporary summer job at a popular seafood restaurant in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard, the Boston Herald reported Wednesday. The paper said the 15-year-old will be manning the takeout window for Nancy’s, working a cash register, bussing tables and prepping the restaurant for customers before lunch service.
“She’s been working downstairs at takeout,” an unidentified server told the paper. “We were wondering why there were six people helping this girl, but then we found out who it was.”
Along for the ride were six Secret Service agents, who reportedly sat outside while the new employee served customers.
The Obamas make it a point to visit Nancy’s when they vacation in Martha’s Vineyard.
The First Family will be starting their seventh visit to the island during President Obama’s tenure in office this weekend. Her older sister Malia is also planning on doing some hard work in Massachusetts next year, when she joins the Harvard class of 2021.
