Green Line service will shut down between Park Street and Haymarket in both directions for five nights starting Monday night as part of the Government Center Station construction project.

Starting at 8:45 p.m. until the end of service, the Green Line will stop running between Park Street and Haymarket in preparation for the new Government Center Station opening. This will affect commuters on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Monday, Jan. 18. The T will run until about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday for fans headed to the Celtics game.

Eastbound trains will stop their service at Park Street, and westbound trains will stop at Haymarket. Riders looking to head west should transfer to the Forest Hills Orange Line train at North Station or Haymarket, and get back on the Green Line at Downtown Crossing. Passengers headed west should get off at Park Street, walk down the Winter Street concourse to Downtown Crossing, and get on an Oak Grove-bound Orange Line train.

Regular service will resume after Jan. 18.
