A 3-year-old child who was found with life-threatening injuries at a Roxbury home has died, according to multiple reports.

The child, identified by WCVB asa boy namedKani Whyte, was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

The young boy was rushed to the hospital from a homeon Alpine Street in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood on Sunday night, according to a the Boston Police Department.

Police have not disclosed the nature of his injuries but said he was “unresponsive” when first-responders arrived for reports of a trauma incident.

The Department of Children and Families confirmed to the Boston Herald ithas launched an investigation and also took into custody another child found in the home. WCVB identified that child as Whyte’s5-month-old sister.
