Jury selection started Tuesday in the double-murder trial of ex-NFL star Aaron Hernandez.
The former Patriots tight end is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the July 16, 2012, killings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtadooutside a nightclub inBoston’s South End.
Prosecutors say Hernandez gunned down the men after one bumped into him in the club, spilling a drink on him.

More than 200 jurors will be whittled down to 16 over the next two weeks. Jurors will be sworn in on March 1, when the trial is scheduled to begin.
Hernandez is already serving a life sentence for the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd.
