Police in Lakeville are looking for a mother who allegedly took off with her two minor sons at about 6:55 p.m. on Dec. 20.
Valerie McGrath, 46, had taken her 5-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter for the day with the father’s permission. The father had been granted sole custody of the children and the plan was to have them visit their mother from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. But she never showed, according to the father.
According to information put out by the Lakeville PD on Monday, police and family members have not been able to reach McGrath.

Due to the actions and statements made by McGrath in the last few weeks, the police have concerns for the safety of the children.
A warrant for minor kidnapping by a relative was obtained Monday morning in Wareham District court for the arrest of Valerie McGrath.
The Lakeville Police Department are requesting anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Valerie McGrath and the two children to contact police in that particular jurisdiction.
They are currently looking for a 2002 Land Rover Discovery color brown/tan with Mass registration 847ZZ2.
