Time may be a’ ticking, but you still have (some) time to get a gift for the skier or rider on your Christmas list.

I spent a good 30 years or so searching for the perfect ski sock until I got my hands on may first pair of Darn Tough socks ($23-$24, darntough.com). I now own about a dozen pairs of the Vermont product, each of them still as fully-stitched and dependable in their performance as the day I purchased them.

Everyone has seen his movies, now they can have the chance to read about the man behind them. In “Freedom Found: My Life Story,” readers can discover the autobiography of Warren Miller, one of the godfathers of modern day skiing. Get behind the scenes and learn how Miller turned himself into a skiing icon behind the camera. (The Amazon Kindle version is available for $5.99; while the hardcover is $29.95.)

Give the gift of flair this season with a quirky ski suit ($139-$179, tipsyelves.com) from Tipsy Elves. Your loved one can look like they just stepped off the set of “Hot Dog the Movie,” or any other mid-’80s Hollywood romp on the slopes with these fun looks. There are even ones dedicated to Americana with enough neon to make it seem like you’ve transported yourself back to high school.

Show off some East Coast pride with some apparel from Ski the East (store.skitheeast.net), featuring T-shirts, hats and hoodies with the ubiquitous logo that boasts the pride of being “Born From Ice.” If you’re working with a bigger budget, lay the hint that you’re going to help them get a new pair of custom skis from Parlor (parlorskis.com/collections/parlor-gear), the local ski crafters from East Boston. Skis begin at $950, but you can start their journey toward skiing bliss with a Parlor-emblazoned T-shirt ($25) or hoodie ($45).

Trade group Ski Vermont has introduced the first of its new “Industry Tribute” ski posters with its ode to the snowmaker ($15). Other annual releases from the past decade are also available. (skivermont.com/store from $15-$30.) It’s great wall art.

Of course, money put toward the cost of a lift ticket doesn’t hurt either. Contact your favorite resort or ski area to inquire about gift card options.
