Lowell man arrested for homicide at Mass. house party

The identity of the victim, who was pronounced dead at Lowell General Hospital, has not been released.

A Lowell man has been charged in connection to a Sunday shooting in Dracut, Massachusetts, that left one person dead.

 

Davanni Curran, 22, was arrested on murder and firearm charges related to a homicide that occurred Sunday around 5:30 a.m. during a party at a private residence, CBS Boston reported.

 

The victim, 31-year-old Trevor Washington, was fatally shot in the chest outside a house on Methuen Street, according to Middlesex DA Marian Ryan and Dracut Police Chief Kevin Richardson. Washington was later pronounced dead at Lowell General Hospital.

Curran was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition and was expected to be arraigned on Monday in Lowell District Court, officials added.
