Man assaults MBTA commuter with brick for looking at him: Police

A Malden man was arrested Thursday after allegedly striking another man with abrick at Boston’s North Station for looking at him the wrong way.

Police came across Stephen Fusco, 48, when they were on patrol at the MBTA Commuter Rail stop at about 5:15 p.m. after noticing he had blood on his hands and hearing from passerby that he had just assaulted another man.

They found the injured man, who apparently had trauma to his head, who told themthat Fusco struck him in the head with a brick. He added that it was an unprovoked attack, cops said.

EMS took the victim to an area hospital to treat him for lacerations.

Fusco was taken into custody for assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, according to police. He allegedly admitted to the assault and told officers he did not appreciate the way the victim “looked” at him.
