A Malden man has been indicted forthe manslaughter of his 26-year-old friend, who died in June after he was allegedly pushed into the Charles River, according to the Suffolk County district attorney.

Lenny Quintero-Flores, 27, is expected to be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court on Nov. 9.

Prosecutors said that Quintero-Flores and Mitchell Harrisonwere seen drinking together after 5 p.m.along the Charles near the Harvard Bridge on June 21.

Witnesses saw Quintero-Flores push Harrison into the river with his feet, according to the DA’s office. Harrison was either asleep or unconscious at that time, officials said, and went into the water.

The Boston Fire Department and the State Police Marine Unit responded to the area and rescued Harrison from the river. He was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and died early the next morning.

Quintero-Flores was arraigned in Charlestown Municipal Court after the incident. This indictment moves his case to Suffolk Superior Court.
