Missing girl, 18, found dead in Wilmington

The body of an 18-year-old woman who was reported missing Monday was found behind a Wilmington home Wednesday morning, not far from where she was last seen.

Ira Jaan Simbulan, of North Andover, was reported missing to police near the area of Glen Road. She was last seen alive around 5 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, and searching police found her remains at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators with the Middlesex District Attorney’s office said there was no evidence of any foul play.

Massachusetts State Police continue to investigate the circumstances of Simbulan’s death.

“As this death is not considered suspicious, no additional information is being released,” a statement from the district attorney’s office read.

“We don’t know what happened,” Simbulan’s boyfriend reportedly told FOX 25.
